Our Vision
A Liberia where every child has a clear path toward opportunity, dignity and a brighter future.

Since 2018, Our Children Future has worked alongside Liberian families, schools and communities to remove the barriers that keep children from learning.
Our Children Future, Inc. (OCF) is a Liberian non-profit founded in 2018 and headquartered in Monrovia. We work with schools, families and community leaders to make sure that a child’s circumstances never define the limits of their future.
Our work focuses on quality education, girls’ menstrual health and dignity, child protection and youth skills — four pathways that together keep children learning and growing.
A Liberia where every child has a clear path toward opportunity, dignity and a brighter future.
To improve the livelihoods of future generations in Liberia by emphasising education, menstrual hygiene management and sustainable adolescent development.
“Breaking barriers is not just a slogan — it is a lived promise. OCF was born from a vision to break the cycle of educational barriers that prevent children, especially girls facing period poverty, from reaching their full potential across Liberia.”
Mrs. Josephine K. Barclay
A committed board and management team guiding OCF with accountability and care.

Josephine founded Our Children Future in 2018 and leads it as chief executive, representing the organisation to partners, donors and government, signing contracts and co-signing on the bank mandate. Her founding conviction still shapes the work: that a girl missing school because of her period is a barrier OCF exists to break. She oversees the full programme portfolio across eight counties and sets the tone for how the organisation treats the children it serves

Joel runs OCF's financial control and day-to-day operations — accounting, routine approvals up to $300, procurement and the administrative backbone that lets field teams move. He's a master's candidate in Corporate and Public Finance, he holds a Diploma in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management and has worked on donor-funded programme support, including with the European Union Delegation to Liberia. His job is unglamorous and load-bearing: keeping records clean enough that a donor can follow every dollar from pledge to classroom.

Jamel turns OCF's four programme areas — quality education, menstrual health and WASH, child protection, and youth leadership — into activities that actually happen in schools and communities. He manages implementation, raises activity requisitions, and verifies field deliverables before anything is reported as done. In an organisation working across eight counties, that verification step is what keeps the impact numbers honest.

Alex tracks whether OCF's work reached the children it was meant for, and whether it made the difference intended. He supports programme administration, prepares the documentation that evidence rests on, and verifies inventory — dignity kits, supplies, distribution records — against what was delivered. His work is what allows OCF to report figures like 7,387 kits distributed with confidence rather than optimism.

Mulbah leads OCF's Board of Directors, guiding governance and organisational strategy and holding the mandate for emergency approvals above $5,000. As a bank mandate signatory he carries a formal share of the organisation's accountability, alongside the Chair's job of keeping the board focused on the mission rather than the meetings.
Barbare provides governance oversight and leads the board in the Chairperson's absence. Her role is continuity: ensuring scrutiny, quorum and decision-making hold steady regardless of who is in the room, and that the board's attention stays on the children OCF serves.

As Board Secretary, Josephine maintains OCF's corporate records, certifies minutes and manages board documentation. She holds this alongside her role as Executive Director — which puts her at the centre of the organisation's paper trail and makes independent documentation of board decisions essential to the governance model.
Yeayea oversees the board's financial stewardship — financial oversight, liaison with the audit committee and review of statutory filings. Her remit is the check on the numbers: that what OCF reports, what it files and what it spends all reconcile.
John contributes to policy review, governance voting and strategic advisory. He is part of the board's collective function of testing strategy and holding management to the standards the organisation has committed to publicly.
Clarine advises on strategy and exercises both governance and financial oversight, bringing an additional independent voice to policy review and board decisions.
Amos works where OCF's programmes meet the people they're meant for — in schools and communities where a delivery either happens properly or doesn't happen at all. He supports day-to-day field implementation across OCF's education, menstrual health and youth activities: coordinating with school staff and community leaders, helping prepare and move materials for distributions, and making sure activities follow the plan agreed with the communities hosting them. His work is the part of the programme cycle that beneficiaries actually experience, and it depends on showing up, listening, and reporting back honestly on what he saw.
